About Positive Path

Positive Path was born from both urgency and hope; a shared urgency to respond to increasing marginalization of unrepresented communities in Tanzania, and the hope that a collective voice could rise to bring compassion, protection, and opportunity where it was desperately needed.

Founded by a group of bold and resilient human rights defenders, Positive Path emerged as a safe haven and an engine for change, rooted in the lived experiences of those it seeks to uplift. The organization was conceptualized during a time when civic space was rapidly shrinking, creating an urgent need for structured, localized, and intersectional responses.

Positive Path was envisioned as both a shield and a torch — a space for healing and empowerment, and a beacon for progressive change. Grounded in love and guided by purpose, Positive Path was officially registered on 24th February 2025, under registration number 00NGO/R/8063.
